Bits and Pieces

Over Christmas I went home and was able to spend some time with my family.  On my visit in west Texas I spent some time with my Grandmother.  We ended up looking through her "thimble collection" of all things.  She and my grandfather traveled all around the world and she would pick up these thimbles.  Inside each thimble she stuck a piece of paper telling where and when they were from.  It made me think about how these small collections can be so special.  I would love to have these one day and have them on a coffee table or book shelf.  Now clearly, "thimbles", may not be your thing, but memories, heirlooms, hand-me downs, and things that you have collected over time are what makes your house a home!
